GROUND FLOOR | RÉS DO CHÃO, por Camilla Costa & Gui Athayde

Starting from the question “Where do you have to go to find yourself”, Ground Floor reflects on the act of moving and leaving a home, with sparse text written in both English and Portuguese by Camilla Costa. The illustrations, by Gui Athayde, depict a person, or a body, in transition. Both authors are from Brazil and live in European countries. In the book, physical movement is grounded by internal stasis; or longing for a home that once was. The illustrations consume the pages in blues and reds, or sometimes get stripped back to leave only the text hand lettered and running parallel in both languages. Print in 2 special colors (blue and red)on Pólen paper 90g/m2  and Rives 250g/m2 (cover). There will be a book signing session with the illustrator Gui Athayde.




Partindo da pergunta “Onde é preciso ir para se encontrar”, Rés do Chão reflete sobre o ato de mudar e sair de casa, com texto esparso escrito em inglês e português por Camilla Costa. As ilustrações, de Gui Athayde, retratam uma pessoa, ou um corpo, em transição. Ambos os autores são brasileiros e moram em países europeus. No livro, o movimento físico é fundamentado na estase interna; ou saudade de um lar que já existiu. As ilustrações ocupam as páginas em azuis e vermelhos, ou às vezes são despojadas para deixar apenas o texto escrito à mão e paralelo nos dois idiomas. Impresso em 2 cores especiais (azul e vermelho) em papel Pólen 90g/m2 e Rives 250g/m2 (capa). Haverá sessão de autógrafos com o ilustrador Gui Athayde na Feira Internacional de Frankfurt, no dia 21 de outubro de 2023.
